destiny's secrets chapter one

The wind was blowing smoothly,rolling across the field of fresh green grass making it sway gently, a young female wolf was lying peacefully in the grass, sleeping, the smell of the fresh air brushing against her muzzle and caressing her fur.

The female wolf awakens with a confused look on her face.
She looks around as if she was searching for something but then suddenly stops.
"where am i?" ..."more importantly who the heck am i?" she says in a worried tone.
"argh..my head..it hurts.." putting her paws on her head  completely forgetting what she was thinking.

Her ears twitch as she hears the sound of flowing water and water splashing against rocks,
deciding that it would be a good idea and it'll help her headache she heads over the little river where the sound was coming from and takes a cool refreshing drink.
"ahh.. much better now to---ahh!" she jumps back with surprise. She stares deeply into her blurred, moving reflection.
"is this me? wow, where did i get all these stupid scars from?"
her eyes dart back and forth, pupil tracing the scar lines on her body and face, four lines were across one eye with two across her nose with many different scars on the body. Staring curiously at the purple and back colour of her fur.
'you know..i just realized this but...i cant see in my left eye..'she thinks to herself and laughs
'ah well, at lest i still got one good eye right? not like it's going to really do me any harm'
With a sigh and a yawn she gets up and wonders off into the tall green sea like forest that is moving with the wind.

The trees where like tall umbrellas surrounding her, covering alot of the sky making it very shady beneth.Useing her sensitive nose she sniffs all the scents that whip passed her as she walks along, making her slightly sidetracked.Well more then slightly.
'alright..no more sidetracking, got to  focus and find clues to who i am and where I'm from' she thinks while she starts getting side tracked by the smell of human food.
'meat?' she thought
she follows the sent of meat that was making her stomach growl and saliva drip from her mouth.she had not eaten in who knows when so any food smelled like a five star meal to her. She sniffs along the leaf littered ground when suddenly she hears a rattling noise and something tug tightly on her left leg.she yelps loudly and looks down to her paw seeing a chain wrapped around her paw.
"gah!what the heck is this thing?, some sort of steel snake?"
she whines with her ears back wile tugging, trying to pull the chains off.
'Click click'
her ears immediately perk up and she quickly looks in the direction of the sound. A tall shadowy figure stood before her, emitting smoke from  the side with a bright grin on its face and with a shiny silver weapon pointed to her.
'uh oh.. it's a alien with a loud killing stick...not good' she thinks to her self wile struggling to get free.
As the poacher loads his gun and points it to her, a loud rustling sound comes from the bushes and a pair of shining fags and claws appear.a young fox baring his fags and claws at the poacher.
'is he crazy??' looking at the fox with her head slightly tilted.the poacher aims and shoots at the fox but the fox quickly evades it and dashes around making it difficult for the poacher to get a clear shot. Then the loud shots coming from the gun stopped.
"Dang it!, I'm outa damn bullets." the poacher says swearingly
the poacher goes to reload but while he hurriedly does so the fox takes the opportunity to attack. red, purple and white fox lunges at the poacher, biting into his arm, making him bleed.
"Argh!"the poacher yells loudly in pain wile doing everything he can to tear the fox off his arm, only making the fox bite even harder into his wounded arm.
"Get offa me you pest!!"
jumping backwards off the poacher, the fox takes a chunk of flesh with him. He growls showing that he means business and he will kill if need it be. Some how the poacher seemed to have gotten the message and after loosing so much blood he takes a run for it without a second thought, leaving a trail of salt and iron liquid behind him. The young wolf bows her head with her tail down, showing the male fox that shes no threat.
'in the position I'm in..I'm no match against him looking at the silver chains from the corner of her eye. Walking cautiously to the wolf he shows a gentle smile.
"i didn't mean to scare you..i was just walking by when i saw you needed help and i felt the need to save your life"he says with a slight shyness in his voice
she laughs softly
"that's kinda odd dontcha think? a random wolf you've never seen before and you risk your life to save her."
"I'm sure you would of done the same if your were me right?"
"true.." she admits
"besides, this isn't the first time we met."he says
surprised she replies
"really?i don't remember meeting you before, infact, i don't remember anything, not even my name..." a frown appears on her face.
"oh well that doesn't matter then if you don't remember, it wasn't really that important anyway" he says trying to cheer her up
"I'm Shadow."
"Nice to meet you shadow....id tell you my name but.. i don't know my name"
"oh?"shadow replies
"well lets just give you a name for now"
"hmm...what to call you........ah! lets call you rain" he laughs
"well..i guess that could be my name for now.and it sounds cool so yea" she laughs happily
shadow sits and looks at rain curiously with his bushy tail swishing side to side
"so..um.. what exactly are you going to do about this lost memory problem?"
"haven't gotten around to that yet"
rain stops to ponder for a moment,looking at the ground but then jerking her head back up.
"i know! I'm going to travel around for clues of my lost memory, i don't know where to start but still."
shadow looks at rain with interest
"well i know a town nearby we could check out maybe they might have some sort of clue"
"great! but why look in a town?" she reply's
shadow is taken back by this reply and looks with a confused look on his face
"do you even know that theres something around your neck?" he says with a slight harsh tone
"no.."she whimpers slightly and puts her front paw to feel for something there
"oh there is, what is it?"she says.
He sighs and explains.
"its something those aliens use to identify us and find us,usually they are put on those who are domesticated"
Rain prosseses what he says and then desides it be best if they get going now before it gets dark.
"oh, ok, shall we get going?" tilting her head
"yeah but first..."
shadow gets up and walks slowly over to rain. He glares at the rusty silver snake that is still attached to rain and holds back a growl.
He try's pulling it apart but with no prevail
shadow sees that the chain is coming out from the ground like a tree and digs it out.
Rain then tugs and the chain comes out from the ground with ease.
"well,i may not be able to get this thing off but at lest the chain is not very long right?"
shadow chuckles slightly
"lets get going now before night comes" shadow smiles
"right" she replys.
They start walking towards the town.
Rain following behind shadow with a playful look.
"do you think we could get something to eat along the way?" rain questions shadow
"sure"
shadow reply's with a growling stomach and a smile across his face.
